Mindfulness Teaching

I teach Mindfulness in one to one sessions, these can be in person or online. I teach groups online or in person and offer workshops and Retreat Days.

Mindfulness is an everyday life strategy. It is a way of befriending oneself as life unfolds in any given moment.

It is the art of using your senses and body sensations to be fully awake in the present moment.

Mindfulness is a process of paying attention with intention to what is actually happening in the present moment in a non-judgemental way.

It is about acknowledging and allowing whatever is here to be here without wanting it to be different.

Most of us spend a lot of time in thought, planning, worrying about the future, regretting some of the past or are lost in hopes rather than being in the ‘here and now’.

Mindfulness helps us to wake up to the fact of how accessible the breath is to us at all times.

The breath is the anchor to hold and sustain us in the here and now.

“As long as you are breathing there is more right with you than wrong.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn.

With daily breathing practice one learns to accept the wondering mind with kindness and patience, and come back to the breath again and again to ground oneself in the now.

Cultivating a way of living mindfully through becoming more aware and more self-compassionate is the greatest gift you can offer yourself.

Daily practice is the secret to success.

Take Time Out To Be

Taking time to appreciate life, family and friends, and to connect to the source of life for us in the moment is encouraged.

Pausing from busyness to be.

Embracing quiet time is so enrichening: being mindfully present in the garden at home, on the bike, walking in the woods, by the sea, hill walking or in a sacred space, a church.

From here one can create opportunities for greater meaning, connection, ease and joy within oneself and others.

Healing Is Possible

Each of us has the possibility of reshaping our lives
by making small changes in everyday living.

Mindfulness practice can offer one great support here.

It’s a new way of being.

There are moments that allow us to delve into the depths of our being. We find them in many different places.

We all have a chance to be here differently and reveal new possibilities.

Whatever we face in life, we possess the means, that is, the sacred, the power within to help us transform our circumstances.

Mindfulness Brings Inner Peace

Just as you can’t rush grief, you can’t rush meaning.

Accepting this moment as it is, no matter what form it takes, brings its own inner calm and peace in time.

It doesn’t matter what name you give that inner nature that drives this love. It only matters that you respond to it.

You have a choice.

Gerard May once said:
“We don’t have endless time”
so, we are invited to embrace it, as best we can.
